Snow Angel

Ergo

"Mama, I need an Ergo because Pamela is a little too big and heavy when I try to carry her on my side."

Ergo:

Grin...

I can't help but do it when I look at this picture.

Thankful

Here is a musical slideshow of photos from August to November that I never got posted.  I thank God every day for the blessings of our home, food, clothing, Dusty's job, two beautiful, healthy girls, 6 years of marriage to an amazing, Godly man, a wonderful, Bible teaching church, good friends, family, and most of all a Savior that is real.  There are so many more things to be thankful for to which we are reminded of especially on this day. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

P.S.  To get a little bit better picture quality, after you hit 'play', click '240p' in the video bar and change it to 360p or as high as it will allow.  Sorry part of the video is cut off.  I'm just thankful I got it to post at all at this point! : )

#2, You are Spoiled.

Enjoying a lollipop from Halloween
#2, you are spoiled!
#1 never had any sweets until she was...well, I can't remember, but much older than you!  Maybe it's your persistent nature that refuses to take no for an answer, or the fact that nothing misses your eye (like Papa thinking he is sneaking goodies into his mouth unnoticed), or that you don't like to be left out from anything that big sister is partaking in, or that you demand sustenance 24/7.

Whatever it is, you are lucky.  But I guess that's what they say tends to happen.
Eating a homemade chocolate chip cookie

Candies, cookies, and cupcakes, oh my!

Yep, you're spoiled and probably know it.

Must be why you are so sweet too.

Halloween 2010

Get ready for 31 pictures and a recap of October festivities.  Yes, that's what I said, 31.

Maggie's sentiments about Halloween:  it's tricky, not treaty.
When we got our amazing costumes in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs, I could immediately tell that Maggie wasn't going to really be into the whole dress up thing.

Natalie on the other hand, was totally excited.

I love Fall.

I was excited for the girls to help carve pumpkins (aka squish pumpkin guts in their hands).

However, they had no desire to help clean out pumpkins and Dusty and I ended up doing everything because Natalie said, and I quote, "Ew, it's messy.  I don't like to get messy."  What can I say, I raised my girl to be clean and neat. : )  I'm actually okay that she didn't want to touch the pumpkin guts.
Instead, they played in the leaves.

But Natalie checked in to help supervise and sketch some drafts.

Maggie (who is rather accident prone) managed to fall on a pumpkin stem and gouge herself.  I'm just thankful it wasn't her eye.

Here is one of our creations.  I'm bummed that I forgot to take a picture of the other three that we carved:  a silly face, the word 'Fall', and a scene of the sun setting behind some mountains.

Fun outfits.

I love this pic of Maggie laughing about something.

Here are their Halloween costumes:  a strawberry fairy princess and a Monarch butterfly.  The girls had lots of opportunity to collect candy.  On Friday, before Halloween, they trick or treated to all the businesses down in Old Town.  Poor Mags, she was just not that into it, but man did she look adorable even when she was crying.

Natalie with her good friend, Philip, I mean Batman.  She added a little kung fu for the pose. : )

My dear friend, Brook, and sweet little Heidi peeking out from the penguin.

Sweet.

Natalie loved dressing up, loved the attention, and of course, loved the candy.  She also collected candy on Halloween at our church's Fall Family Carnival where she played games and jumped in the bounce house (her fav).  Then we went door to door on our street.

One thing I love about this girl is that she is so easy going with things.  After we got home from the festivities, I piled her loot on the floor and told her that she could pick out 10! pieces of candy to keep for herself and that we were going to add the rest of the candy to our stash that we were handing out to people who came to our door.  Wow, 10!  She was so excited about this and had no qualms about giving the rest away.  I'm so thankful for her content and grateful heart.

A content picture of Maggie.  (Having her lovey with her helped I'm sure--don't leave home without it.)  She really didn't fuss the whole time and finally got the hang of everything.

Too pooped to party anymore.

It was a fun weekend of candy hoarding and getting to dress up numerous times.
And we still have tutus for wearing any ol' day we want!
