Committed
So I've noticed that a lot of my friends like change, whether it be rearranging furniture, food, paint, blogs, etc. I've been thinking about this a lot recently and I am the complete opposite! Yes, I like to rearrange my furniture here and there for a new feel, but I am such a creature of habit. I eat the same things at our favorite restaurants. I love our paint colors and after all that work painting and trying to coordinate decorations, my house will probably always look the same until I move. I tend to always buy solid colors when it comes to clothing. I like things symmetrical.
The thing with me is that once I find something great, I never deviate from it or branch out. Some might say I'm missing out on new things, but if you find something you love, why would you want to give it up? I may not be adventurous, but I'm committed. : ) Anyway, I did add a new header as many of you probably noticed. I might be changing it later, but I thought it would be fun for now. I'm grateful for my friends who love change and have flare because they really challenge me to branch out. And another secret...I may be set in my ways about most things, but deep inside I do want flare, I want to buy a shirt that buttons-up and has design and sparkle, I want to recover my ottoman in a patterned print rather than a solid, I want to be okay with asymmetry! But I'll NEVER not get the Toonces at the Pickle Barrel! : )

I DO Love the Snow!
We were in Buena Vista this weekend for a birthday celebration with George and Julie. Friday night we went to a live drama called the Bethlehem Market (a re-enactment of what Bethlehem might have been like on the night Jesus was born) at their church. When we left it was snowing quite hard. When you looked up, it gave you the "Star Wars" effect. Natalie was fascinated by it! She would toss her head back over and over and smile as the snowflakes gently fell on her soft baby skin.

Natalie's First Snow Experience
It started snowing today...
so we bundled up to go in the backyard.
My first look at snow
I shook it off the flowers
Trying a new version of wood chip: frosted wood chip.
Mmm, I think I'll try another one.
I like it, but I'm trying to quit.
Just thinking...
My first taste of pure snow

Here is a video of Natalie checking out the snow. At first she seems to enjoy it, but it quickly turns sour when she realizes how cold her hands are. We rushed into the house and took off all of her wet things and tried to warm her up fast ...

but it took a while for me to get happy again.
Little Drummer Girl
Natalie has started drumming on her belly whenever she hears music or a beat. I don't know where she got the notion to do this--I don't think Dusty or I walk around drumming on our bellies--but it is so cute. She's got the perfect little drum to do it too. This could be the beginning of a future rock star. We even have a drum set sitting in the closet, waiting for someone to take it out and use it again. Maybe Reese and Natalie will start a girl rock band. : ) Without further ado, give it up for our Little Drummer!
