February 2019

Little hike at Horsetooth Reservoir near our house.  Maggie was playing at a friend's house.

Some fun, goofy photos we took to wish our cousin, Helena, a happy 3rd birthday.

Maggie's Valentine box she made with a little help from Mom and Natalie too.

Valentine's Day and Natalie's wearing contacts now too.
Not every day but we decided she was ready and it will be handy for activities like skiing and swimming.

A little Valentine gift from Mom and Dad:  French chocolate pudding and little pocket books.

Shepherd's Pie dinner I made that was soooo yummy!

Leftover beef chuck roast, green chilies, green beans, and sweet potatoes.

Dr. Seuss Week at school--wear a mustache like the Lorax day.
I didn't get a picture of Natalie before she left for school and Sabrina didn't want to draw one on and decided to see what other options would be available at school.  Haha!  She came home with a mustache on a Popsicle stick that you can hold up.

January 2019

First pictures of the New Year.

Colorado outdoor wedding in January near Glenwood Springs, CO.

We had the privileged of celebrating Dusty's cousin's wedding.  They passed out blankets and hot cider for the ceremony.

Colorado girls at a Colorado wedding reception.

Hot chocolate mustache.
Ski day at Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort near Glenwood Springs.  It's so fun to ski together as a family and we all look forward to hitting the slopes a couple of times each year.  The girls are getting better each year and gaining confidence.  Maggie is a "point the skis straight downhill and go!" kind of skier.  Sabrina, who's only in her second season really, is "steady as she goes".  And Natalie is a little mix of both.

The drive home.
Movie night:  Peter Rabbit.
The girls think this movie is hilarious and almost daily you can hear somebody quoting in their best English accent,
"It's a bit matchy, matchy."

Another one bites the dust.

N:  "It looks like Horsetooth rock."

"Mom, can you wear your red dress when I wear my red dress?"
Going to church.

When you are so proud of the perfect job you did peeling your hard boiled egg, you make Mom take a picture to remember it. : )

Fun, new, wrap around braid I tried on Natalie for school.

This girl's either got her head in the clouds or in a book.

Toothless grins.  All age 7.

Grandmother passed away on January 18, 2019.  This is one of the last pictures of her taken by my sister.  I miss her greatly but I am thankful she is no longer battling the hardships of this life.  She was dearly loved and I know that she loved my family and me immensely too.

October 2012

One of my favorite pictures of Grandmother and Dad.

We celebrated Dusty turning 44 on the 26th.  I always make him Grandmother's strawberry cake (it's also the same recipe his grandmother used to make!) and I was especially sad this year not to be able to share these pictures with GM and to swallow the reality that she is really gone.

Birthday dinner for hamburgers at Nick's.
For Dusty's birthday, we took a cooking class together where we learned how to make some of our favorite things:  chai and samosas.  Thankful to celebrate another year with this hunk!

Birthday beignets at our favorite breakfast place.

Merry Christmas!
Helping make our traditional Christmas Eve Shepherd's Pie.

In honor of the Greatest Shepherd of all.

Christmas Eve dinner.

Robes for Christmas

Baby Jesus arrives on Christmas morning in the manger.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be on his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

A nest.

Horse for Christmas from her sister.

Puzzle from Shane we put together over Christmas break (mostly Dusty and I).

Enjoying our present from Pam and Steve. Yum!

Quote from Maggie:  "It looks like a little house."
Learning how to play Nintendo NES.

New Year's Eve, just the two of us, while the girls were having fun at Grandma and Grandpa's.  We went to dinner for Thai food and then came home and got into comfy clothes, had tea and treats, and watched the best of 2018.
