This beauty turned 9!
This year was her family year. She picked beignets for breakfast at Lucielle's. Then her good friend, Breck, joined us for swimming with her new taco pool float. I made thai basil chicken curry for dinner per her request. The big finale was her first visit (and sisters too) to the Melting Pot for chocolate fondue. She had a fabulous day and received many wonderful gifts from so many people who love her including clothes, birthday money and gift cards, a flippy sequin pillow, a balloon animal money bank in her favorite color, a long skirt she had been asking for, her first personal Bible, a cool flip book about the human anatomy from Natalie, a fun notebook from Sabrina to use with her collection of cool pens--she is so blessed!
Maggie loves to sit in our laps and won't let us even walk around the block without making sure that she hugs and kisses us goodbye first. She loves big and has big emotions. She seems to be allergic to the outdoors as I can never get her to go outside and play because she is so happy staying inside to play barbies, legos, or teacher. She loves to help me organize things and is a great little cleaner also. She reads because she has to, but is an excellent student and won the Balloon Award in her class for the person who always lifts others up when they are down. She LOVES babies and small children and is so nurturing. Other moms at school took notice of this and this summer she started being paid to be a Mommy's Helper. She'll eat just about anything but is very picky with the way clothes and shoes feel. She is an amazing masseuse according to her Aunt Jenny. She is very servant-hearted but can also be annoyingly persistent. She is generous and compassionate. She keeps us on our toes and makes life sweeter. Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
